Here, I have produced a Chanel beauty advert that redefines beauty standards by featuring a bold red lip on a male model that I photographed using a close up shot to highlight his bold, glossy lips. I created a simple yet powerful image that challenges traditional gender boundaries. The campaign celebrates bold, unapologetic self-expression, showing that beauty transcends gender. This promotes Chanel as a contemporary brand with modern values. The intentional lack of product placement shows I am not selling a product, I am selling an idea.
I have also produced a print advert for Southend High School for Girls. I used an intentionally catchy slogan as this makes my advert memorable. The image itself is one I really like as the contrast between the pink binder and green background is striking which makes the advert all the more eye catching. The direct eye contact with the model is intimate and presents the school as welcoming and engaging. To increase the adverts verisimilitude I added symbols for social media platforms at the bottom to promote audience engagement and increase the schools digital publicity.
